This beautiful property is a bit different, previously a farmstead nestled above one of the quiet rural valleys of this area of South West France, and now converted into holiday accommodation offering many things to different people.

ACCOMMODATION
At one side of our large and ancient converted barn there are six south facing bedrooms (all with en-suite shower rooms). There are four double bedrooms (one of which has an adjoining bedroom with bunk beds) - 3 of the double rooms have super king-size bed, the other a kingsize. There are two twin bedrooms (one has an optional connecting door to one of the double rooms) there is room for a further 'Z' bed in either one of the twin rooms or one of the doubles. In front of the rooms there is a large shady terrace/balcony overlooking the heated swimming pool.
At the other side of the barn there is a vast dining/sitting room with, at one end, a sunny breakfast room, opening onto gardens and terraces and also a games room. This barn has been carefully restored and retains its old oak beams, stonewalls and log burning stoves.
The sitting room has dvd/cd players, ¾ snooker table, dartboard along with a selection of board games and an English library. Satelite TV (from UK) is available in the dining room /lounge. There are plenty of comfortable sofas and chairs, so everyone should be able to find a quiet place any you will never find yourselves short of space.

Adjoining the sitting room is the well-equipped kitchen with a central island unit. The kitchen contains a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, gas hob and an electric oven, fridges and freezer and general electrical equipment.
Inside quiet-time
In the dining room there are comfy seating areas, log burning stoves (for cooler evenings), English library, board games and a DVD player with a selection of films. There is also a TV which receives programming from the UK, so all the main UK channels are available.
Inside Games and Entertainment
We have a three-quarter size snooker table and dartboard in the large converted barn. These are ideal for an evening game or for escaping the mid-day heat. The whole inside area is equpped for playing music, ideal for parties and celebrations.
There is plenty of tourist information available for your to read and suggestions for places to eat and visit are kept in the dining room– and as we live in a house in the garden, we will be around to help and advise if required.
Available for rental as a gîte for up to 15 people plus baby (cot and highchair available). We can book well over 12 months in advance so even If you are at the beginning of planning your holidays - please contact us so that we can pencil you in.
Usually change over days for the gîte is Saturday, occassionally we can arrange a different start day for your holiday (this can reduce flight costs). Do enquire about any specific dates you have in mind.
If you would like to have somebody come in during your holiday to clean the house we can try and arrange this for you. Details available at the time of booking.

OUTSIDE LEISURE
Sitting on its own sheltered terrace overlooking fields and woods – this heated pool makes a perfect centrepiece for your holiday. The state-of-the-art salt-treatment system means – no more reddened eyes! The water remains silky soft and does not damage your hair or skin as you might find with a chlorine-pool. The terraced pool area is situated at a slightly lower level and has plenty of leisure furniture. The heated 12 x 5 metre salt-water pool provides an ideal focus for your holiday. The pool is heated from (usually) mid April to the end of September and if the weather remains favourable into October. The pool is closed during the rest of the year. Whether you fancy a whole day relaxing on the pool terrace or a quick dip after sightseeing you will find the pool soon becomes a favourite spot.
Tennis - We have a key to the village tennis court and guests are welcome to borrow this. There is also a practice area and a children’s play park. We have some rackets and balls should anyone wish to borrow them.
Table tennis - There is a table tennis table in the garden which proves popular for both the quiet and dignified game for two, or a highly competitive family challenge.
Bikes - For those that want to get out and about on bikes we have 4 bikes which you are welcome to borrow. We also have some maps and routes you can use to help you plan your trips.
Giant Chess - This is a definite favourite for adults and children alike!

LOCATION
The farmhouse is located in the village of Touffailles. Touffailles is a pretty little village set amongst the rolling hills between the larger villages of Lauzerte and Montaigu de Quercy. This striking agricultural area bordered by the River Lot (to the North) and the River Garonne (to the South) provides an ever changing backdrop of fruit trees, sunflowers, cereals, melons, vines and cattle.
Visitors staying at Farmhouse near Lauzerte can take the opportunity to visit many attractive places in the area. Amongst the favourites are Cahors, Agen, Montauban, Villeneurve-sur-Lot, Puy L’Eveque, Montcuq, Moissac, Auvillar, Valance, Tournon D’Agenais, Penne D’Agenais, Castlesarrasin, Cirq Lapopie, Lauzerte, Montjoi, Brassac, Beauville, Bourg de Visa, Montaigu de Quercy, Miramont de Quercy, Castlesagrat, St Nicholas de Grave, Fummel, Chateau de Bonaguil, Puymirol and further afield the Millau Bridge, Sarlat, Bergerac, Toulouse, and Albi.
We hope that we can provide you with a good value base for your holiday, whether you want a lazy time with a book and a glass of wine, a walking adventure, to sit and paint or a chance to tour the local medieval villages and local markets. There is plenty to do without leaving the property, but when (or if) you are wanting to venture further we are on hand to help you with the information you will need.
Lauzerte - 8km This exquisite bastide village has a choice of restaurants, bars, shops and markets (the Saturday morning market is lovely – taking place in the medieval square amongst the many little cafes).
Montaigu de Quercy - 8km selection of restaurants, local market etc
Leisure Lake - Montaigu de Quercy (10 mins drive/9kms) This beautiful lake with a wonderful white sand beach is ideal for water lovers both young and old. There is a safe area for young ones to play in the water and plenty of opportunity for more adventurous swimmers with floating platforms and diving boards. There are safe playing areas for children, and within the surrounding landscaped area there is crazy-golf, camping, shaded picnic tables and a bar and restaurant with lovely terrace overlooking the beach.
Canoeing - Hire canoes and paddle along the Lot river, beautiful scenery and plenty of places to stop for a picnic.
Golf - There are a few golf courses nearby – ideal for the occasional round or a daily game! The closest is the 9 hole Golf de Roucous
There is also a delightful 9 hole course in the Lot valley - here you can get refreshments and play in a stunning valley for great value.
Slightly further away is the highly acclaimed 18 hole course at Villeneuve-sur-Lot Or at Valance D’Agen there is a further 9 hole course Le Golf d'Espalais
Parachuting - If anyone feels that they would like to try parachuting – there is a parachute school located nearby. Even for the less ambitious, a trip to watch the jumpers landing (even on bike from here) makes an interesting visit. The parachute school do arrange for Tandem Jumps
