Beautiful Bourgeois style house with heated swimming pool and lovely garden, offering guests exclusive use of facilities on site.
Located on the edge of the Vendee within 1km of the Town of Moncoutant with its traditional French shops, cafes and Restaurants. This property is an ideal location for a family or a group of friends to enjoy the this relaxing environment in rural France with its traffic free roads and lots of fresh air. 
The property has been lovingly furnished and decorated to luxury standard and has a wonderful homely feel about it.
The grounds are just lovely with totally secluded with areas of lawn and flowers leading to the large HEATED swimming pool which has an area of paving around it housing sun beds and chairs.
There are an abundance of ourdoor games available including Table Tennis, Badminton and Basketball.
If you feel thirsty you have your own bar by the pool house. There are various areas to eat "alfresco" with views of the lovely flowered areas and lawns - all of this facing fields. 
The whole area is totally private and gated making it safe for children to play

ACCOMMODATION

Maison Gaillard has been lovingly renovated to a luxury standard throughout with lots of attention to detail.
The ground floor consists of a well equipped kitchen with an American fridge/freezer with ice maker and water dispenser, dishwasher, washing machine, oven and hob and extractor hood.  Fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, tableware, glasses, table linen, and ovenware.  
The utility area has everything needed for your laundry requirements including washing machine, Ironing board, Clothes airer, Laundry accessories including pegs, etc.
Beautifully furnished/decorated with lovely drapes and centre lighting.There are 2 sofas, occasional tables with lamps, rugs, an ornate fireplace - everything with an eye for detail.  TV with Sky, DVD player and home entertainment system. This room is lovely and cool in the summer and really cosy in winter.   WIFI available.
The dining room is fantastic - with a grand table and seating for 8 on high backed chairs, beautiful lighting, paintings, lamps and rugs. 
Also a ground floor WC and wash hand basin.
On the first floor are 2 bedrooms. The first comprises superking size double bed, bedside cabinets, wardrobe and chest of drawers. 
The second bedroom comprises kingsize double bed, fitted wardrobe and chest of drawers. 
On the second floor is a third double bedroom with kingsize bed, bedside cabinets and chest of drawers. 
Opposite this bedroom is a very spacious, modern, fully tiled bathroom with large corner bath, separate shower cubicle, vanity unit and WC - all beautifully appointed.  Basket of toiletries.
An abundance of games and books available.
Cots and high chairs are available on request.

Welcome packs and toiletries are provided upon arrival.

 

This property is completely private and you will have exclusive use of all facilities.

 

OUTSIDE AREA & LEISURE  ACTIVITIES

There is a decked path which is illuminated and will take you to the pool area passing areas of lawn and flowers.
A large lawned area which is totally secluded and gated making it fully secure and safe for children to play. Within the lawns is a large, heated swimming pool (8m X 4 m) (heated by heat pump to 28 degrees) with a surrounding patio with sun beds and chairs.  There is a small fountain and a shallow area around the entire pool for safety. The area is South facing so enjoys plenty of sunlight.  There is also a Children's paddling pool and this whole area including the swimming pool is lit at night so you can enjoy your surroundings way into the night. The pool area and lawned area face fields and is a very relaxing environment.  For your health and safety the pool is cleaned daily.
There is also a barbecue and pool house complete with bar and comfy seating.
Lots of games for the garden and pool. Outdoor games include table tennis, basketball, badminton, boules, garden croquet, golf putting and a children's trampoline. 
4 adult bikes are available for guests to use. 
Private off road parking for several cars.

Prices include hire of all bed linen and house towels.  Pool towels are also provided - you will need to bring beach towels. 
Security bond of £200, this is fully refundable if no damage to property and left in a clean and tidy condition.  

End of stay clean is an optional extra £80.
25% non-refundable booking deposit on confirmation and balance to be paid 12 weeks prior to arrival.

LOCATION

Maison Gaillard is less than 1km from the large village of Moncoutant which has a several bars, restaurants, large supermarket, post office, Pharmacy, Boulangerie, banks, cafes and hairdressers. A new kebab restaurant opened this week (09 May 2015) it is very very good also a new pizza restaurant both also do take aways and are only 10 minutes walk from the property.
There is a new cycle track which goes from the property into Moncoutant.
The nearest town of Bressuire is 10 minutes drive away with numerous restaurants, shops and supermarkets, discos and bars. There is also an ancient Chateau and a newer Chateau sitting side by side - both are set in a park with a children's play area and lovely walks along the river.
The medieval town of Parthenay with its many attractions is 30 minutes drive away.
The coastline of the Charente Maritime - La Rochelle or Vendee La Tranche sur Mer, La Faute Sur Mer, Les Sables D'Olonne on the Atlantic Coast are 75 mins
Pay du Fou is France's top theme park and is definitely worth a visit.  Furturoscope is another them park with lots of futuristic rides to be had.
The Marais Poiteivin (Little Venice) is a short drive away with its winding canals and waterways -you can hire a boat for the day and explore.
Mervent forest is another great place to visit, ideal for outdoor sports, picnics, there is an Adventure park here and children's play park and a zoo.
Outdoor activities are in abundance - there is something for everyone.

 

The Deux-Sevres region has countless places of interest to suit everyone and is steeped in history, the unspoilt landscapes and gently rolling hills shelter an outstanding heritiage with some of Europe's most imposing Romanesque churches, chateaux, museums. small roads lead to unexpected rivers, lakes, forests, historic towns, small villages with colorful markets and, during the summer months a range of festivals and events. 
FISHING - A 5 minute drive from the property will take you to Pescalis which is renown for its great fishing lakes (among the top fishing lakes in Europe), in fact many International Fishing Tournaments are held here - you can purchase a day ticket or longer and there are many restaurants and cafes. 
GOLF  -   There is a golf course at Bressuire, just 10 minutes drive (15 kilometres) New golf course has opened it has a 25 bay driving range a 6 hole 12 tee pitch and putt and a 9 hole 18 tee golf course. 18 hole will be finished by the end of the year 2015

Just down the road is an Adventure Forest with tree climbs and a Karting Circuit - something for everyone or you could simply relax and enjoy the pool in the tranquility of Maison Gaillard's grounds.

There are lots to see and do in and around Bressuire. The 56m renaissance tower of the church of Notre Dame rises high over the town and surrounding countryside. Originating from the 11th Century, the Chateau dominates the town and is an ideal venue for the many events throughout the year. 
The first weekend in July is Historic Grand Prix time in Bressuire - a circuit is created in the middle of the Town and Cars from all over France and Europe meet to race for the Grand Trophy through the streets of Bressuire - the event takes place over the whole weekend and entry is free - cafes, bars and restaurants stay open to ensure you are fed and watered whilst you watch cars from yesteryear take part is this great event.

All airports are served by discounted airlines i.e. Ryanair, Easyjet and Flybe.

Nearest Ferry port is St Malo, 3 hours drive.
Caen, 4 hours drive approx.
Calais and Boulogne, 6 hours drive approx.
A car is essential in this region of France.
